Work report: Another 900 coins of the Nowak Collection online
In addition to the now 1,700 pieces from Heinz Nowak's collection, the locations where the coins were found are now also listed, so that the pieces can be located in the archaeological landscape of Austria.
As of today, the inventory of found coins from the Nowak Collection is supplemented by another 900 pieces. This brings the total number of numismatic objects available online in the IKMK to 1,700.
Another new feature is the indication of the places of discovery, which are provided for all specimens. Most frequently represented are Flavia Solva (approx. 800 specimens) in Styria and Strebersdorf (approx. 200 specimens) in Burgenland.
The antoninian of the emperor Tacitus, found in 1986, also comes from the ancient city of Flavia Solva. The piece dates to the years 275 to 276 and was produced at the mint in Rome. Click through this impressive collection and discover more exciting objects.
